- School Board of the City of
Virginia Beach first established a Dress Code (Policy 5-41 ) in 1969 and
most recently amended it in 2006. Each school is expected to establish
guidelines in alignment with this citywide policy.
- Therefore the Ocean Lakes High
School dress code has been established to promote a positive
self-concept, instill discipline, avoid safety hazards, and prevent
disruption. Modesty, cleanliness,
neatness and appropriateness are the standards which should be observed
by all students in their personal dress and grooming.
