Mr. Hailey received his B.S. in Psychology
from Johnson C. Smith University in North Carolina and his Masters in Counseling from
Radford University. Before becoming a guidance counselor at Ocean Lakes High School, Mr.
Hailey was a guidance counselor for ten years in Martinsville, Virginia. He has also been
a guidance counselor at Kellam High School. Mr. Hailey's wife is a reading specialist at
Landstown Middle School. Mr. Hailey loves all aspects of sports- coaching, refereeing,
participating in or just watching! |

Ms. Allard is a graduate of Princess Anne High School in Virginia Beach. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology and her graduate degree
in counseling from Old Dominion University. This will be Ms. Allard's second year at Ocean Lakes. Music is a big part of Ms. Allard's life-
she plays drums, taught the drum line at First Colonial, and enjoys concerts. She also
loves the Outer Banks and spending time with her three nieces. |

A product of Virginia Beach Public schools, Mrs. Bergren
received her B.S. in elementary and middle school education from Radford University. She
received her Masters in Counseling from Old Dominion University. She taught English at
Bayside Middle and Lynnhaven Middle before becoming a counselor at OLHS. Mrs. Bergren's
husband is an assistant principal at Salem Middle School. They have two daughters. Mrs.
Bergren enjoys traveling, dining out, decorating, and watching movies. |

We welcome Mrs. Bolling as the newest member of the OLHS counseling department! Born and raised in Virginia Beach, Mrs. Bolling earned her B.A. in Sociology from The College of William and Mary and her Masters of Education in Counseling from Old Dominion University. She was a school counselor at Kellam High School before coming to Ocean Lakes. Mrs. Bolling's husband teaches in the social studies department at Landstown High School. They have two children. Mrs. Bolling enjoys spending time with her family, running, and trying to learn how to play the guitar and tennis. |

Mr. Murray grew up in Virginia Beach and good ol'
Suffolk. He received his B.S. in Health and Physical Education from Longwood University and
his Masters in Counseling from East Carolina University. In North Carolina he taught middle
school P.E. for two years and was a middle school guidance counselor for one year. Mr. Murray has recently completed an Ed. S. in Educational Leadership through Virginia Tech. He is the rugby
club advisor at Ocean Lakes and a member of the freshman orientation team. Mr. Murray enjoys scuba diving, working out, reading, and riding his Harley. |

Ms. Sheehan grew up in New York where she received her associates
and bachelors degrees. She has a masters degree in counseling from Old Dominion University.
Ms. Sheehan was a counselor in Florida for two years before coming to Ocean Lakes. She
is the mother of one son in middle school. She loves going to the movies, camping,
reading, and seeing friends. Ms. Sheehan greatly enjoys working with her students at Ocean Lakes. |

Following suit with much of the OLHS guidance department, Mrs. Vanderwerf is also a native of Virginia Beach . She received her undergraduate degree at Longwood University in health and physical education, later earned her math certification and eventually topped her education with a graduate degree in counseling from Old Dominion University . Before becoming a guidance counselor, she taught health and physical education for six years and eighth grade math for four years at Great Neck Middle School and Salem Middle School. She is happily married with two young children and enjoys spending lots of time with them at the beach and vacationing. When time permits, Mrs. Vanderwerf loves to read, watch true crime programs on television and cook. She also enjoys movies filled with comedy or horror flicks with a good story line. |
